Yad Yehuda Fresh Produce InitiativeThe COVID-19 crisis continues to present challenges to many individuals and families in our community. While it is important to maintain our health by "eating right," the cost of sufficient fresh produce may be out of reach for those who are experiencing reduced income. The Yad Yehuda Fresh Produce Initiative seeks to address this growing need.

Each week, Montgomery County will supply individual cartons of fresh produce which Yad Yehuda will distribute at no charge. "Drive through" distribution will take place Wednesday afternoons in the parking lot of Yad Yehuda House, with each household receiving one carton.
Each carton will contain a variety of fresh produce items, with contents varying from week to week. We are certain that you will find these additional fruits and vegetables to be valuable additions to your household menus. (Occasionally, the cartons may include items which present a challenge in terms of bug checking; you may find it best to share those items with your non-Jewish neighbors.) If you would like to take advantage of the Yad Yehuda Fresh Produce Initiative, please complete the brief Survey Form to the right. We will contact you with additional details. We look forward to serving you! Program Partners |
