MONTGOMERY COUNTY KOSHER MEALS
In response to the Covid-19 crisis, the State of Maryland has been providing free meals to all children age 18 and under.
We are pleased to announce that Yad Yehuda has been authorized to distribute daily kosher lunches for ALL children age 18 and under, in partnership with Teach Coalition (a project of the Orthodox Union), the State of Maryland, Montgomery County, our schools and our local kosher vendors. The goal of this non-income based program, is to ensure that all children have access to nutritious lunches even when school is out of session. We hope to keep this program running until schools are reopened. We expect this pilot program to begin in early- to mid-May, 2020; it currently has approval to operate for up to 60 days.
Meal distribution during this pilot program will be a drive-up service, with bagged lunches handed through your car window. All meals will provided by a local kosher establishment under the supervision of the Rabbinical Council of Greater Washington. We are approved for only one meal pickup location at this time, in the Kemp Mill area.
For planning purposes, please complete this survey today if you intend to participate in this free kosher meal program for all children age 18 and under.
